This is the hole in the roof...... that leaked down this wall, all over the carpet (and down into the garage below it)......

all the way across Sam's ceiling (approximately 16 feet) and down the other wall!!

Brian and Sam went on a camping trip overnight. It rained for several days before they left. When Sam got back, he jumped on his bed and looked up and said, "What happened to my ceiling, Mom?" I looked up and said, "Go get your dad, NOW!" The damage was a bit worse than we thought but we have found a great company to fix it and put it all back together in the next 2 weeks.
