I had a craving for caramels. So I made homemade caramels. Unfortunately, I had to make them three times. The first batch turned out wonderfully. I was ready to put them in the pan and found out the spoon I was using was not meant to be used in high heat. The spoon had partially melted into the caramels...oops! That batch was tossed. The next batch was tossed early on because they were missing an ingredient. The third batch was perfect. I ate about 1/4 of the pan and then sent the rest to Brian's work place. They were great...even if I had to work to get them.
