Julia was excited to try Chalk the Walk in Mt. Vernon again this year. She was part of this through her art studio, Maroger. Each student had a square to create a piece with an animal. Julia chose a horse to draw with chalk. She brought a picture of a horse to help her get started. She started by making the shapes that she saw in the body of the horse. She then added the outline and then colored in the outline. She added the background colors as she worked. It was fun to watch her creation emerge. I could see all of the things she has learned come through in her artwork.
